Process gas boilers
These special tubular heat exchangers effectively cool process gases at high temperatures and pressures, and use the heat recovered to produce steam at medium-to-high pressures. They frequently must handle a process gas that is chemically aggressive.
Due to the agressive process gas, PGB requires a special design, often based on use of thin and flexible tubesheets concept. Moreover, use of internal bypass systems and refractory linings are often necessary.
Alfa Laval Olmi can design and deliver horizontal and vertical PGB, working under natural circulation on water-side, for any temperature and pressure on gas-side, for refinery, petrochemical and fertilizer plants (hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, olefins, SM/EB, nitric acid, etc).
