Alfa Laval wins SEK 80 million energy-efficiency order
Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has won an order, worth approximately SEK 80 million, to supply waste heat recovery systems for diesel power plants that will be built in Asia. The order is booked in the Boiler & Gas Systems unit in the Marine Division, and delivery is scheduled for 2017.
The systems will recover and reuse heat from the diesel engines to produce steam for power generation, increasing the efficiency of the whole installation.
“Energy efficiency is becoming an increasingly important factor to meet the growing energy demand. Our Alfa Laval Aalborg systems are both reliable and efficient and therefore a perfect fit for heat-recovery applications in the power industry,” says Peter Leifland, President of the Marine Division.
Did you know that… today, on March 1, Alfa Laval inaugurates a new section of its test and training center in Aalborg, Denmark, where new marine products for gas driven vessels will be tested?
