Alfa Laval has been operating in Canada for near to 130 years. Originally operating as D-Laval, the company began by assisting Canadian farmers separate, process and store milk products.
Today Alfa Laval provides equipment, components and expert service to Canadian municipalities, manufacturers, and natural resource producers. There are 74 staff in Canadian location including industrial technicians, field-service technicians, engineering, administration and technical sales experts.
Alfa Laval's Canadian Division is headquartered in Toronto and has repair facilities in Edmonton and Toronto. Customers are served by Canadian field-service technicians and equipment sales specialists - out of offices near the major manufacturing hub in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia.
Equipment overhaul and diagnostics are performed out of two large service centres (in Ontario and in Alberta). See locations below.

Alfa Laval´s business is divided into three divisions covering Energy, Food&Water, and Marine. Our customers are found in various industries such as chemical, oil & gas, pulp and paper, waste water treatment, marine, power and food to mention a few. In addition, a dedicated service organization supports our customers to ensure that they can continue to rely upon the excellent performance of their Alfa Laval equipment.
More than 100 countries
Alfa Laval´s products are sold in approximately 100 countries, 50 of which have their own sales organizations. The company has 42 large production units (22 in Europe, 10 in Asia, eight in the USA and two in Latin America), and more than 100 service centres.

134 years young
Gustaf de Laval was a great technical genius whose inventions include the centrifugal separator and the first functional steam turbine. During his lifetime, he registered 92 patents and started 37 companies. In 1883, he and his partner, Oscar Lamm Jr., established the company AB Separator, the forerunner of today's Alfa Laval.

Alfa Laval´s operations are based on leading global positions in the three key technologies of heat transfer, separation and fluid handling. Continuous product development is essential to strengthen competitiveness. About 2.5% of total sales are invested annually in R&D, resulting in 25–30 new product launches a year.
